Designing Vehicle Wraps In Anticipation Of "iron Man 3"

By Rob Sutter

"Iron Man 3" is the movie that I saw just a couple of days ago and I thought that it was an excellent piece. I believed that, as the last movie in the franchise, it had a great resolution and it did well in a way that most third movies seem to fail. With so many scenes that can be enjoyed, I don't think that anyone can argue the impact it will have on people for some time to come. The Iron Man suits are equally as stellar and it's because of them that I can look to designing vehicle wraps for ideas.

Tony Stark is a man who constantly improves his hardware and the Iron Man suits are evidence of that. Along with having different features from one another, they are all immensely different, too. These are suits which will catch your eyes in different ways, regardless of the ones that you find to be the best of the bunch. Mark 42 was the latest in Stark's suit designs but I can't help but feel like something was missing from it, at least from an aesthetic standpoint.

Iron Man has a distinct array of colors to it. I always believed that he was supposed to be a superhero donning crimson and gold and I can't help but feel like that was lost in Mark 42. With this particular design, there seemed to be far too much gold for my liking that it overpowered the red immensely. I am all for remaking how the suit looks as long as it stays faithful but, in my mind, there were simply suits that did the job better than this one did as far as appearance is concerned.

However, does this mean that designing vehicle wraps has to stick to red and gold alone? Not at all because there are suit designs which play around with this quite a bit, such as Mark II and its chrome look apart from the arc reactor which is a glowing bright blue. There is also Mark V, which swaps out the gold for the aforementioned chrome, which actually looks nice in hindsight. These colors could be attractive for wraps developed by authorities on the matter like JMR Graphics.

I'm surprised that I was able to stay invested in "Iron Man 3" for as long as I have because I think that very few movies are able to keep me from becoming bored. This movie managed to hold my interest the entire way through and it's the type of film experience I would suggest that anyone watch. It's going to be a contender for Best Movie of 2013, for me. Along with good acting and strong story, I believe that the visuals could parlay into the realm of designing vehicle wraps, too.
